AWARDS – RUNNING
Every participant who reaches the finish line within the time limit will receive a unique finisher medal. The top 3 overall finishers in each category will receive a trophy and a Maratonman Depo running shoe voucher worth 10,000 HUF. (You can find more details about the voucher in section 37 of the race regulations.)

GENERALLI CHARITY SUPPORT
Similar to previous years, you will have the opportunity to support a charitable cause with a donation of 500 HUF per registration. We will soon announce the charitable goal for 2023!

TIME LIMITS

• 55 minutes for the 6 km distance
• 1 hour 20 minutes for the 10.5 km distance Headlamp Run
• 1 hour 20 minutes for the 10.5 km distance
• 2 hours 45 minutes for the Saucony 21.1 km distance The course will be closed when the time limit for the half marathon distance expires.

(Participants who exceed the time limit will not receive a finisher medal and will not be listed in the official results.)

CLOSING BUS
After the last wave starts, a sweep bus will follow at the back of the field to pick up participants who fall behind the time limit for safety reasons.

REGISTRATION
Creating a Personal Profile is essential for registration, which you can do by clicking HERE – if you don’t have one yet. You can modify your information at any time, but please make sure that your name is saved according to Hungarian rules, which means the SURNAME comes first, followed by the GIVEN NAME. This is important for registrations made through Facebook and Gmail.

The payments for registrations during the last online period will be accepted until August 29th at the latest.

PARTICIPANT LIMIT
To ensure the quality of the event, the number of participants will be limited to 5000 individuals in 2023.

REGISTRATION FEES
The amounts are gross and in Hungarian Forints. For participants under 18 years old and over 65 years old, a 20% discount from the corresponding period’s fee will be provided. Proof of age with a photo ID is mandatory during the race kit pickup. The current fee period applies to the time of payment, not the time of registration.

For cash payments in person, participants can choose one item from the previous years’ souvenirs, subject to availability. Please note that we cannot guarantee a full range of sizes for gift shirts, and the previous year’s headlamps are available in limited quantities. Therefore, the offer is valid while stocks last. Thank you for your understanding!

ATTENTION We are unable to accept payments via postal check. If the registration fee is sent via postal check, it will be immediately refunded. The registration fee must be paid in a single sum (including relay teams, not per team member). An invoice can only be issued in the name and address provided during registration, and it is not possible to split the invoice within a relay team. Any separately received fees will be refunded to the sender, minus bank charges.

The MIZUNO shirt shown in the picture is for illustration purposes only. The graphic designs for the 2023 shirts will be revealed at a later time! The color and graphics are currently a secret.

Race packages can be collected in advance at our race office located at 9-11 Tüzér Street, 1034 Budapest, or on the race day at the venue. We recommend not leaving the collection of your race number until the last moment!

IMPORTANT
ON-SITE REGISTRATION AND RACE PACKAGE PICK-UP WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 21:30 ON THE RACE DAY. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME, AS NO RACE PACKAGES WILL BE ISSUED AFTER THIS TIME!

TIMING
The race will be timed using chip timing, recording net time – therefore, the time you cross the starting line is not significant. It may happen that a runner who finishes after you appears ahead of you on the results list!

20:40 – 10.5 km Race (from the area behind Várkert Bazár, former Casino)
21:10 – 10.5 km Headlamp Run (from the area behind Várkert Bazár, former Casino)
21:30 – Saucony Half Marathon, both individual and relay (from the area behind Várkert Bazár, former Casino)

SAUCONY HALF MARATHON RELAY ZONE
For the 21 km race distance, the relay zone will be set up at Clark Ádám Square (point 4 on the map), where you will have the opportunity to make the relay exchange at the 7th and 14th kilometers. During the exchange, hand over the race number containing the timing chip to your relay partner, who will run the second or third 7-kilometer section! The map is available by clicking HERE! We recommend making the race memorable with a shared finish. The first member of the team can join at the Generali point before the finish line, allowing you to cross the finish line together! We would like to draw the attention of relay participants that exchanges are only allowed at the designated relay zone. For the sake of fairness, relay teams found exchanging elsewhere along the route will be disqualified.

AT OUR RACES, WE DO NOT USE PLASTIC OR PAPER SINGLE-USE CUPS AT THE REFRESHMENT POINTS.
We adopt the well-established slogan and method used at trail races: BRING YOUR OWN CUP! We provide refreshments in your own cups, bottles, or hydration containers! To avoid congestion at the refreshment points, we will provide longer stations compared to previous years and set up a sufficient number of ECO refreshment tables that have already been tested in the 2021 season. You can help us DRAMATICALLY REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WASTE generated at our events by individually obtaining isotonic drinks and water.

RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT
Prizes will only be presented during the result announcement. We kindly ask the podium finishers to honor the race and their fellow competitors by attending the result announcement in person. Prizes will not be awarded or mailed to winners who arrive late for the announcement.

MEDICAL SUPERVISION
The field will be accompanied by a medical team. You can find their phone number on your race number. Please pay extra attention to any distressed runners during the race! If the medical team determines that a participant is not fit to continue the race, they may remove the race number and disqualify the participant.

PHOTOS
Professional photographers from Futófotó will take pictures of you during the race, which can be viewed and purchased on the futofoto.hu website in the week following the race!

AND FINALLY, THE RUNNER’S ETIQUETTE

Keep to the right side of the running track and always overtake from the left. Give way to faster runners. Choose the appropriate starting zone based on your running performance. We measure net time, so it doesn’t matter when you cross the starting line. Maintain cleanliness both at the race center, on the running track, and after the refreshment stations (dispose of energy bar and gel packaging in the designated bins). If you smoke, please respect your fellow runners by only smoking in designated areas at the race center. Always wear your race number, as it distinguishes you from those who participate without registration – unauthorized participants will be removed from the race area. The organizer reserves the right to modify the program and regulations.
